Drink Up! Top 5 Favorite Water Bottles

Yup… I’m going there! I feel like this is one of the most random posts I’ve ever published, but I am a big time water drinker, and I literally have a different water bottle depending on the occasion! For years, I used to take sips of water sparingly throughout the day. I’ve learned that’s no good, and while I’ve known that for years, I’ve always ignored the fact that, yeah, you need water!

There are so many benefits to drinking water, and I probably don’t have to even tell you. To sum it up, gives these top 10 reasons to hydrate:

  1. Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue
  2. Promotes Weight Loss
  3. Flushes Out Toxins
  4. Improves Skin Complexion
  5. Maintains Regularity
  6. Boosts Immune System
  7. Natural Headache Remedy
  8. Prevents Cramps & Sprains
  9. Puts You In a Good Mood
  10. Saves Money

I could honestly sit back and say that every single reason is true! I probably drink close to a gallon of water a day, and I don’t know if it’s because my body is used to it, but if I don’t drink at least half a gallon, my body feels crappy! Yes – I literally pee all the damn time, but it comes with the territory. Sacrifices have to be made, right? It’s very rare that I drink plain ol’ water, as I’m always adding stuff to it to give it a bit of flavor. So if you see me with water, it usually has lemons, fruits, BCAAs, or anything else that makes it taste a little better. Perhaps I’ll do another post on how to spice up your water to make it much more appealing.

Anyways – like I said, I have a different water bottle for every occasion, so I wanted to share some of my favorites with you!

There would have been a time where I’d say NO WAY to walking around with a 64oz. jug of water, but these days, I need it! I don’t bring it to work, but I bring it to the gym and carry it around at home. I’ll admit, at first I felt kind of obnoxious walking around with this huge water bottle, but mama likes to hydrate, so the haters could shove it! Phew… almost lost my cool there. Anyways, HydroJug has a variety of color choices, the bottle closes securely, and there is an option to buy a straw that works well with the design. Only con is that with the secure closure, it could be difficult to open.

S’well Bottle

I never thought I needed this bottle in my life, but now that I have it, I could never go without it. This isn’t the bottle I carry around with me all the time, but the one I bring with me everywhere on weekends, road trips, vacations, etc. This bottle is just amazing! The reason I bought it at first was because the Milky Way design is holographic, and I had to have it. But what I discovered was that my water stays cold for hours on end! The claim is 24-hours, but my water has never lasted that long to test it out.

Trimr Duo Classic Water & Shaker Bottle

This bottle is new to my collection and I love it! I saw Whittney Simmons talk about it, and even though it’s a little smaller than what I’m used to (only 24-ounces… I suppose good for a normal person lol), I had to get it. Not only did I really love the sleek design, but the fact that it has both a straw for sips and a spout for chugs, really made it unique. Another cool feature is it has a shaker that connects to the straw. I don’t carry that piece with me often, but if I have to run some errands and then hit the gym, I put my pre-workout in it, and when I’m ready, I just shake it up on the go!

Infuser Water Bottles

Okay – so I’m pretty vague with the name because if you go on Amazon and search Infuser Water Bottles, the same bottle comes up from different companies. I think it’s just a basic design that companies throw their logo on. I don’t care who it belongs to, I love this bottle! This used to be my go-to water bottle to carry around with me at work, but it was just too bulky for me (hence my purchase of the Trimr). What I love most is the actual ability to infuse my water with fruits! There are so many great detox water recipes and I’ve tried so many of them with this bottle. My favorites? Cucumber, Mint and Lemon Water OR Raspberry and Basil! Absolutely love it! The bottle does have some flaws. For example, it can leak a bit and the little rubberband on the closure could snap. Again – I just love the whole infuser concept, so this is staying on the list!

Camelbak Podium Big Chill Insulated Water Bottle

I’ll be honest, I don’t use this bottle much anymore, but this was the bottle that got me through some grueling workouts! I used to bring this bottle to the gym all the time, but being I’m at the gym much longer these days, I simply wanted a larger bottle (cue HydroJug). I do bring this bottle with me when I know I’m doing cardio most of my workout, as this bottle fits nicely in the cup holder and I need my water in easy reach! Despite the fact that it sits on top of the fridge a lot these days, this bottle always kept my water nice and cold! It transported easily, meaning no leaks, and it’s just an overall great bottle for any where!

And there you have it! Even though I feel this post was quite random, I do hope that it has helped you in finding you in finding your perfect water bottle. What’s your favorite? Clearly I have an obsession and I’m always open to recommendations!
