Current Faves – Part II

And here I am again… back with Part II of my Current Faves! I usually name seven a month, but since it’s been such a long time since I’ve talked beauty, I couldn’t narrow it down. So without further ado… enjoy!

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Vino Noir

While on the hunt for the perfect metallic red liquid lipstick, I discovered this one right here, which has become one of my favorite metallics ever! Vino Noir is the most beautiful burgundy metallic with red pearl and the formula is divine! It’s such a rich, pigmented color and it glides on beautifully, lasting all day long! Also – the Smashbox liquid lipstick applicator is amazing! One of the best applicator I’ve used! It’s so precise and for someone who still has a love/hate relationship with liquid lipsticks, this one is practically fool-proof!

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

I’m sure I’ve talked about this mascara before, but I need to talk about it again. Oh. My. God. This is one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used and the fact that it’s drugstore and under $10 blows my mind! This mascara provides me with intense volume without making my lashes look and feel dry and clumpy. The only downside is I feel like it takes a little effort to remove. It really goes to show that the volume lasts all damn day, but even my strongest makeup remover takes a few tries. But overall, it’s just the best and I’ll be repurchasing as long as I live! Ha!

ColourPop Pressed Bronzer

As an individual with fair skin, finding a decent bronzer has always been a challenge for me. Mama doesn’t wanna look like an Oompa Loompa. I bought the shade CA Dreaming back in September, knowing that I was going to be sad loosing my summer tan, and this shade is just perfect! This light golden shade gives my face the right amount of warmth and gives me the sun kissed glow that I need during the winter. It’s pigmented, buildable, and I went from never, ever using a bronzer, to using this one almost everyday!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

This is certainly not new to me. I’ve been a fan of Milk for a very long time. However, most recently, my obsession has been shimmering/metallic shadows on my lid. I was noticing that I needed a little bit more than a primer to make the shimmer last throughout the day, so I just threw a little bit of this on prior to shadow application. WOW… it did the job! I always knew that this product was wonderful, but rediscovering it has been a game changer! I’ve noticed that my shadows are brighter, and the shimmer lasts from day to night.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder

For years I stayed away from powders, but recently I’ve tried a few that I enjoy… this being one of them. I picked this powder up when I was over in Poland and I’ve been pretty obsessed with it ever since. I usually like a full face of makeup when I go out, but applying a bit of this powder to face does the trick! It balances out my skin tone, getting rid of the often pesky redness, and allows my skin to look smooth and natural!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Wifey

If Jeffree Star launches a red liquid lipstick, I have to have it. Why? Because I know that it’s going to be a comfortable, long wearing red! I love his liquid lipstick formula and have yet to be disappointed by any of the shades I own. Wifey is simply the perfect red and it’s perfect for Fall! I’m going to keep this short and sweet and just tell you it’s awesome!

Avocado Oil

Yup! Just basic Avocado Oil! I’m always looking for products to help moisturize my lips and keep them from drying due to my heavy use of liquid lipsticks. Right now, I’m using the brand Spectrum, but you could use any brand you want! I went to whole foods, grabbed the most reasonable brand, and picked up a roller ball bottle in the beauty isle, and viola! I have the most effective lip product I’ve ever used! I have to get another bottle to keep next to my bed, but I mainly use this oil prior to applying lipstick. I put a little on my lips right after my foundation application and allow it to absorb a bit before applying product toward the end. It helps the liquid lipstick apply smoothly, and keeps my lips from peeling throughout the day. I just find that all liquid lipsticks have been working better since using avocado oil. Give it a shot! You won’t be sorry!

And there you have Part II of my Current Faves! Hopefully from here on out, I will get back to posting my monthly faves, so stay tuned!
