ColourPop All I See Is Magic Pressed Powder Shadow Palette

It has been a minute (I hate that phrase) since I’ve posted a product review! I’ve tried lots of awesome makeup during my hiatus, but I figured I would talk about the ColourPop All I See Is Magic Pressed Powder Shadow Palette. I’ve really enjoyed ColourPop’s pressed shadows for awhile now, but their last few palettes, I absolutely love! I think my favorite has to be I Think I Love You, but this limited edition holiday palette is just gorgeous!

All I See is Magic is ColourPop’s first 15-pan palette and includes a variety of rich jewel toned in matte, satin, and metallic finishes. Despite the fact that the palette looks a little bit intimidating to someone who is used to more neutral looks, it’s really quite versatile. I, for one, always opt for a neutral look, but I’ve been really enjoying applying intense, shimmering shadows to my lid. A little tip… apply a little bit of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in ‘Milk’ to the lid to make those shimmering shadows POP and last all-day long!

Even though I use another product to help the intensity of the shades, the shadows are extremely smooth and very pigmented. Some of them (especially Twinkle Toes, Something Special, Wishful Thinking), feel velvety! I think the shade with the most fallout has to be 11:11, due to the glitter. The only other shade that I had a bit of trouble with was Top Notch. It’s described as a matte terrecotta brown, and it certainly looks it in the pan, and even swatched. However, once applied, it pulled a bit more red from my skintone and I ended up creating more of a cranberry look. I have a pretty neutral skin tone and historically, I don’t have this issue with eyeshadows, so this was new to me. Either way the shade was gorgeous, I just wasn’t expecting the outcome.

I just wish they had a mirror sometimes. The packaging design for the entire holiday collection is just lovely! I love the color scheme and the little golden polka dots really make it feel fun and festive!
