Current Faves – Part I

Well, well, well… it has been a looooooong time since I’ve written a favorites post! There are so many products I’ve discovered (or rediscovered), that I’ve lost track. Since that’s the case, I’m just going to tell you about some of my current favorites, in hopes that from here on out, I continue my monthly faves again. So – let’s cut right to the chase, shall we? Here is PART 1 of my current faves!

ColourPop I Think I Love You Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette

I have become obsessed with these pressed shadows! They’re so pigmented, extremely smooth, and ColourPop has some of the most beautiful shimmery and metallics I’ve ever seen! When I first saw this palette, I loved it, but brushed it off because I didn’t really think I needed another neutrals palette. After seeing swatches everywhere, I caved and I’m certainly glad I did! I cannot get enough of this palette! I use it several times a week, and when I do, I know my eyes are going to look fierce! I go for a basic look (light brown in the crease, black lined on the upper and lower lash line), but when I pop shades like My Treat or Screw It on the lid, it’s game changing!

Essence Lash Princess Flash Lash Effect Mascara

I’ve had this mascara for awhile, but pushed it aside. Initially I just bought it because the packaging was adorable. How could I not, right? I forgot all about it, and then I think I saw an article on PopSugar raving about it. I was stunned while I read this raving review and saw photos that made this girl’s lashes look intense. Needless to say, as soon as I got home, I searched for this mascara, tried it the next morning, and boy, was that review on point! I have shorter, thick lashes, and when I use this mascara, I feel like I get both volume and length… something that is rare for me to find. It seriously makes me look like I’m wearing falsies, and I cannot believe that this item is only $5.00! I’ve paid over $20 for a mascara that made false promises, and this one has been under my nose for months and I ignored it. Since the one I rediscovered was a bit old, I purchased a new one that afternoon and it was even better! I’m obsessed and it’s one of the two mascaras I alternate between.

Lumene Intense Hydration 24H Moisturizer

For the life of me, I cannot remember how I stumbled across this brand, but I’ve been obsessed with them for months! I have the Glow Reveal Moisturizer and Overnight Bright Sleeping Cream and absolutely love them. However, when I was planning for my trip to Europe in October, I didn’t want to pack two different products. I wanted one moisturizer that was going to do everything for me. I checked Amazon (because that’s where everything in my life comes from), and found this gem. I’m obsessed! It’s lightweight, smells good, makes my skin feel super smooth and moisturized, and ever since I started using Lumene products in general, I feel like my skin has been brighter! Typically, with changes in whether, my skin suffers, but not this year. I truly feel like I have my dry skin and occasional breakouts under control and I truly owe it all to this moisturizer!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Speaking of my trip to Europe, one thing I was really excited about (besides traveling and seeing the most beautiful places in the world) was getting my hands on drugstore makeup that’s not necessarily easily accessible here in the U.S. While in Poland, I stopped at a drugstore named Rossman, which is quite popular over there. I literally felt emotional walking around the makeup section! Come on now… other beauty lovers could relate to my insanity, I’m sure! I spotted this foundation, and I was a bit hesitant to try it because I recall trying a popular Bourjois foundation years ago and I didn’t love it. It could have been this one, for all I know, because it seems it’s been reformulated according to the website. Anyways – I’m in love with this foundation. I’m happy to learn that while I can’t get it in stores in the U.S., I could easily find this product online. I feel like the shade is close to perfect for me (maybe a little yellow, but nothing I can’t work with), I LOVE the finish, and the coverage is perfect!

Wibo Royal Shimmer Highlighter

This item here is another product I picked up while in Poland, and I’m sad to say that I don’t think I’ll be able to get my hands on it in the U.S. I’m going to have to do a bit of digging for this one. While watching TV in my brother-in-law’s parents house while I was away, I saw this brand on a commercial, so I knew I wanted to check it out. I picked up a few items from Wibo, but this highlighter has to be one of the most intense, most beautiful, most incredible highlighters I own (and that says a lot!). I am a highlighter addict! I love to glow and I have tons of powders that are just wonderful. There’s just something about this one that blows me away. It’s golden, yet light enough to compliment my skin tone, and it’s seriously intense. I feel like anyone could wear it because with a light hand, it could look natural, but with a heavy hand, you could be seen from space! I love it so much, I went back and bought another one to bring home with me so I never run out. As I’m writing this, I’m thinking about how I should have picked up yet another! I just love it so much!

ColourPop No Filter Concealer

This has been a favorite of mine for quite some time now, but when you fall off the face of the earth and decide not to tell anyone about your monthly faves, you kind of fall behind. This concealer is wonderful, and for the price, how could I go wrong? As this product launched, I saw mixed reviews, but I have absolutely no complaints! It provides me with super full coverage, blends easily, lasts all day, and I just love it. I think I may have even used it all over my face as a foundation once and, well, ColourPop… if you’re listening… get workin’ on some foundations, okay????

The Saem Eco Soul Glam Eyes

I happened to pop into a CVS one day and noticed that K Beauty had their own section in the beauty isle. Intrigued with the selection, I browsed through, and picked up this eye shadow. Great Odin’s Raven, this shadow is FANTASTIC!!! I picked up the shade 01 Gold Fizz, and this dazzling, soft gold shadow makes my eyes look bright and glamorous and, UGGHHHHH I’m OBSESSED! The product is in a glass pot and has a velvety, cushioned gel texture. It doesn’t dry up, and stays looking gorgeous on my eyes! I’ve gotten so many compliments about it since I picked it up and I’m kicking myself for not getting more. From what I know, not all CVS locations have a K Beauty section, but I’m hoping more and more pop up because I gotta try me some more of these!

Well – that’s it for you! Be sure to keep an eye out for Part II of my current faves!
