April Faves

WOW! It has been a loooooong time since I’ve written a blog post! I’ve just been a little busy and overwhelmed, and to be honest with you, it was best to step back and take a break, rather than share crappy, half assed content! Most of the business is all for good reason. Yeah – some aspects of my life gives me a major headache, but if you follow me on IG or SnapChat, you may have seen that I’ve made lifestyle changes and very proud of it. I’ve been focusing on myself, my health, and feeling fantastic. I’m actually down about 20lbs and the feeling is just so great! Thinking of maybe incorporating some health and fitness posts every now and then, so keep an eye out for those! In the meantime, I have a few faves I want to share!

Freeze 24/7 Ice Serum Advanced Brightening Facial Serum

So I went from trying a variety of skin care products constantly, to really learning what works for me and narrowing down my selection. This serum here has been a constant in my daily routine and I love it! This serum  contains White Strawberry Extract and a powerful peptide to give skin a radiant glow! I’ve noticed my skin looks brighter and feels a lot smoother! One of my favorite parts is it’s appearance! I don’t know if it’s just me, but when I pump the product into my hand, I noticed a slight pink, iridescent shift! Before I even used it, I love the product for that awesomness alone!

ColourPop Double Play Pressed Powder Face Duo

As soon as I saw this duo, I knew I wanted it, but I held off for a few weeks. I think I was trying to practice the art of willpower, but apparently that didn’t work. I finally ordered it an I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The highlighter is lovely, but a little too dark for my skin tone. I think when I’m more tan in the Summer, it will look much better. But surprisingly, I love the blush more! I bought this palette with the intention of using the blush as a bronzer because it looks quite dark and nice to warm up my skin tone, but I have, in fact, been using it as a blush and it makes my skin look lively and sun-kissed!

Jeffree Star x Manny MUA Skin Frost in ‘Eclipse’

As soon as I saw this highlighter, I knew I wanted it! Not because of the collaboration, but because the shade was gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for! If you want a natural highlight, this is definitely not for you! This powder is intense and makes you glow like you wouldn’t believe! It’s described on the website as an icy peach, but I would saw its a light champagne shade, perhaps with peach undertones. I love the black, sleek packaging, and just love the highlight so much!

Tarte Frxxxtion Stick 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser

This product is so innovative and I’ve become obsessed! This product can be a cleanser and provide gentle, yet effective exfoliation! Besides this product feeling awesome, I just love how it’s skincare in a stick form. I just find it so different and convenient! I love Tarte, but I do hope that this is a trend and other brands jump on this bandwagon! I’m willing to try them all!

Laura Geller  GlamLASH Dramatic Volumizing Mascara

If you want dramatic, plush lashes, then this mascara is for you! This product does not disappoint and is probably one of the most volumizing mascaras I’ve ever used! It’s extremely black, and does not budge all day long! The summer hasn’t started yet, but we’ve had some hot days and the mascara stays put without any smudging or running. I just love how it defines my lashes!

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

So I’ve seen some mixed reviews about this foundation, but it’s been working great for me! I ran to Sephora a few weeks ago for a sample of a new foundation. I asked one of the team members to recommend a lightweight foundation that provides full coverage. She instantly pulled this item from the shelf and matched me right away! She was good! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a foundation that matches as well as this one does! Anyway – I can see how people with dry skin don’t love this foundation, as it can cake up around dry spots, but I make sure to use a hydrating primer and I don’t seem to be having any issues. A little bit goes a long way and it seems to be working well under warmer conditions.

Glisten & Glow x HelloMissNiki ‘A Raisin to Believe’

Yeah, yeah – call me biased, but I freakin’ love my nail polish collaboration with Glisten and Glow! Jill asked me to create this stunning polish and I had the opportunity to help sell it at PolishCon in Brooklyn a few weeks ago! It was a long day, overwhelming, and exhausting, but an absolute amazing experience! I made a few incredible friends, met a whole bunch of nail polish addicts, and had the opportunity to become familiar with brands I have never tried. It was a wonderful weekend and I’m so grateful to have been included. This nail polish is a purple/burgundy hue with linear holo and I swear it looks different in every lighting situation. This morning, I was doing my makeup, and captured a glimpse of it on the windowsill with the sunlight hitting the bottle and I was blown away and so beyond proud that it was all mine!

Well… that’s all I’ve got for today! Hoping to start cranking out some more blog posts, so be sure to stay tuned!
