I just got home from the Target Spring 2017 Beauty Preview a few hours ago, and I’m so tired, I could fall asleep right now! But I really want to give you a little sneak peek on what’s coming to Target very soon! Be warned! This post is photo heavy!
Let’s just get something out of the way… Target Beauty Preview events are my favorite! They’re so laid back, fun, personable, and whomever takes the time to organize the event does a fantastic job! That being said, when I got the invitation for this preview, I was super excited, because I knew it was going to be great! I headed to NYC a bit early so I could stop at Ricky’s NYC (because that’s now a must when I’m in the city!), so I was already in the makeup mood (um… when am I not?) Anyways – afterwards, I walked to the Target offices and met up with my amazing friend, BeautyJudy, so we can spend the evening together and have fun!
As soon as we got to the venue, an incredibly helpful PR rep was kind enough to give Judy and I a tour and give us a little background on what was going on. However, when we were walking the floor, I made eye contact with Petra from Pixi, who noticed us right away, and waved to us. I’m going to admit, I felt so special knowing that she knew me and remembered me from past events. I want to thank and apologize to the sweet PR rep because we started chatting with Petra for awhile and we didn’t continue our tour. Anyways – Petra ended up chatting with us for a loooong time and introduced us to Pixi’s Makeup Artist, Amanda Bell, who was just amazing! Amanda took the time to speak with Judy and I for well over a half hour, demonstrating new and upcoming products, and even talking about personal things like life and family. It was wonderful and I’m so grateful to them for taking the time to speak with us.
That being said, I’m always so excited to see what Pixi has to offer each season, and it’s going to be another good one! This year, Pixi will be introducing a line of products specially curated by beauty bloggers, including Aspen Ovard, Caroline Hirons, Judy Travis, and Maryam Maquillage. From eyeshadow and sculpting palettes, to highlighters and a Double Cleanser (which I’m looking forward to the most), it’s going to be quite an amazing launch!
They’re also releasing some new Skintreats, which are some of my favorite skin care products ever, and I’m sitting here typing this post having used one already! The two items I’m most excited about is the Glow O2 Oxygen Mask (which I used this evening and looooved!) and the Peel and Polish! I’ll write up more details on these items soon, so stay tuned! They’re also launching some additional color cosmetics which include new shades of their Blush Duos, Correction Concentrates, Endless Silky Eye Pens, and more!
Another amazing brand that I expect a lot from each season is Sonia Kashuk. Again, they will be featuring a range of amazing performance-based makeup, cult favorite-brush sets and cosmetic bags! I will be honest, I didn’t focus on the makeup much this time around, as I was, like always, so drawn into the brand’s overall design. Brushes and bags with illustrations of lipsticks, roses, and so much more! Their brushes are always impressive, but there were some pretty awesome innovative ones that I’m curious to try! I am almost certain that all the products featured in today’s preview is launching at the end of the month, but from what I understand, the Sonia Kashuk items won’t be available until March.
Of course, defy & Inspire was there to impress us all with their gorgeous new nail colors! The Target exclusive brand, which launched in 2016, is 5-free and uses technology that extends the lacquer’s wear and creates long-lasting shine. They are launching 12 beautiful shades and I already know I’ll be getting my hands on most of them!
I think the highlight of the night was the new Kristin Ess Haircare Collection! This Spring, Target introduces Kristin Ess Haircare, an exclusive new line created by celebrity hairstylist and co-founder of TheBeautyDepartment.com, Kristin Ess. Inspired by her work with celebrity clients like reality TV star and designer Lauren Conrad and actresses Lucy Hale and Nikki Reed, Kristin developed the collection to help guests achieve affordable, salon quality results at home. The collection will be available on target.com on January 15 and in all Target stores January 22. The best part? Prices will range from $10 – $14! The collection includes a wide variety of items like the Depth Defining Water-Based Pomade, Hydrating Curl Defining Creme, Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray, The One Signature Shampoo and Conditioner, Weightless Shine Serum, and much more!
Another highlight for Target was Alicia Yoon’s Curated K-Beauty Collection at Target. I didn’t really look too much into what was launching because it was probably one of the most popular tables. But this January, they are introducing a collection of Korean beauty products specially developed by Alicia Yoon, licensed esthetician and founder of K-beauty retail platform Peach & Lily. Products include Aprilskin Deep Cleaning Facial Cleanser, Caolion Deep Cleaning Facial Mask Treatment, Logom Spray Skin Texture Improvement Facial Toner, MIZON Face Masks, Twenty Four Seven Lipsticks, and so much more!
Here are some other brands that were there showcasing their incredible upcoming products, so be sure to check them out!
Bottom line, it was a fantastic night and I look forward to seeing what Target has to offer each year! I’m already super excited for net Fall’s launches! Keep your eye out for these amazing collections! I think you’re all going to love it!
