October Faves

It has been an amazing few months for discovering new products! I’ve been quite adventurous lately, especially when it comes to skin care! I’ve also developed an addiction… a serious addiction that’s probably going to require professional help. I’m addicted to highlighters! I can’t stop! While I have two  that I’m mentioning this month, I’ve tried a whole bunch that I just love so much! It’s my goal to be seen from space! So let’s get to it! Here are my October Faves!

LA Girl Strobe Light Strobing Powder in 110 Watt

Speaking of highlighters, I discovered the LA Girl Strobe Light Strobing Powders! I saw these on SnapChat (I forget which blogger spoke of them), and as soon as I saw the swatches I knew I had to try them! For $9 each, I ended up ordering two, but 110 Watt won over my heart! It’s a very light champagne shade that blends beautifully! It’s really intense and buildable and I love it so much! They have a whole bunch of highlighters that compliment a variety of skin tones, so if you have the opportunity, I highly suggest you trying them out!

Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Ice Cold

I’ve been wanting to try this highlighter for a long time now! I pretty much stalked Jeffree’s SnapChat to see when he was going to say the highlighter is in stock! As soon as I saw the date and time, I set a reminder and picked it up right away. I’ve been obsessed with it every since. Granted – I only had it for a few days in October, but it is a favorite, for sure! I thought it was going to be an intense white, but it’s actually an intense white/champagne with a golden shift. Not what I expected… it was better than I had hoped! The powder is beautiful, it applies flawlessly, and truly makes me glow. The best party… the compact is HUGE! I mean, I knew it was going to be big, but WOW! I was stunned! This highligter will last me forever… I hope!!!

ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadow in Sailor

You know me, I’m obsessed with ColourPop! Recently, they launched some pretty gorgeous Ultra Glitter shadows, and I had to have a few of them! I picked up Sailor and I can’t get enough of it! It’s been my go to shade for my lids for weeks now! This cool-toned shadow has a green and teal duo-chrome finish and contains green, teal, and silver fine glitter. I have blue eyes, and the green and teal shades make my eyes pop and the glitter is noticeable! I’ve been getting compliments every time I wear it!

Tatcha Gold Camellia Beauty Oil

I reviewed this beauty oil a few days ago, but it is worth mentioning again because it’s amazing! This rich, lightweight is perfect for battling dry skin! Now that the cold weather has begun, my skin, especially around my nose, gets really dry. When I feel like I need a little extra help, I take a very little amount (a little goes a very long way), and I apply it to that area of my face. It really helps hydrate my skin! I only apply it at night, and when I wake up, my skin is super soft! I honestly have been using it the most on my lips! I take a very little amount, and rub it into freshly exfoliated lips and the skin absorbs it beautifully! My lips have never felt better!

Beauty Bakerie BROWnies in Taupe

I’ve been really enjoying brow gels and pomades lately! I used to use powder, but I just find that this type of formula really keeps my brows looking nicer longer! My friend loves the BROWnies, so I figured it was time to give it a try and I love it! It applies very smoothly and gives brows a natural look. It’s very buildable and, let me tell you, it doesn’t budge! My brows grow very quickly and tend to get out of hand if I don’t wax them every three weeks! At that point, it’s difficult to apply product because they are so thick and unruly, but this product fights through the untamed thickness of the hairs and helps my brows look fresh!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush #12

With a new incredible brow product, comes a new incredible brush! I’ve had the same brow brush for years, but it was time for a new one! I needed one that could really give me precise brows that looked polished and natural. Well – let me tell you, the #12 brush is amazing! It’s a dual-sided brow brush featuring high-quality synthetic bristles on one end and a spooley brush for grooming and blending on the other. The spooley, to me, isn’t anything special, but the angled brush on the other end is awesome. The tip is really thin, and it allows you to really define the brows effortlessly! It’s been awhile since I’ve been this confident coloring in my brows, so I’m a happy girl!

IT Cosmetics Love Beauty Fully Love is the Foundation Brush

I missed out on this beautiful brush last year, so when I saw it in Ulta this year, I grabbed it right away! This has been my go-to foundation brush for weeks and I couldn’t be happier! This limited-edition brush is luxuriously crafted and supports a good cause. For every brush sold during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, IT Cosmetics will donate one to the American Cancer Society’s Look Good Feel Better program to help women face the effects of cancer with confidence. What’s not to love about that alone? This incredible foundation brush features a weighted, streamlined handle and unique heart-shaped head with densely packed, award-winning Heavenly Luxe cruelty-free hair for flawless, precise application. It blends my foundation beautifully and I feel that it has buffed my foundation better than any other brush. I’ve used some pretty great foundation brushes in my time, but this one has to be my favorite!

Such a good month, right? This time of year, I’m always discovering new and exciting products, especially with the holidays coming, so be sure to stay tuned for next month’s faves!
