The hunt for a good hot iron is ongoing. Granted – I’ve found a select few that I absolutely love, but let’s face it, you can never go wrong with CHI! I grew up using CHI Hot Irons, but since I am a beauty blogger who tries a variety of hot tools, it’s been awhile since I’ve gone back to the mother brand. Needless to say, I’m never disappointed with their tools, so I instantly fell in love with the Onyx Euroshine Flat Iron!

As someone with thick, curly hair, I need a good hot tool that will cut down styling time and give me shiny, frizz-free hair, without destroying it! The Onyx Euroshine has 1-inch plates that helps smooth the hair, making it easier to manage. When I am looking for a hot iron, I look for two things. One – I like a straightener that is going to have a good grip on the hair. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worked with irons that barely feel like they’re doing anything. This hot iron grasps onto the hair firmly, but not enough to feel like you’re tugging and being rough with your hair. It’s just right. The second thing I look for is a hot iron that is really hot and heats up fast! With thick hair, I need the hottest temperature, and with this hot iron reaching 450 degrees in just about 30 seconds, it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Some irons can really do damage to your hair at 450 degrees. In the past, I’ve use irons that worked great, but it frayed my hair and the ends looked so unhealthy. So far, this iron has not caused any damage, and I haven’t even used a heat protectant (shame on me!)
Bottom line, this hot iron is amazing. I have yet to find something that I dislike about it, and like I said, I’m quite picky with my hot irons. My hair has been looking sleek and healthy, so I’ve been quite happy these days! If you’re going to invest in a hot iron, I highly recommend checking out this baby right here!
