May Faves

It’s June, you guys! I can’t believe this! Summer is almost here. I am not a Summer fan. Me and the heat… we don’t get along, so unlike most, I’m not excited about the season. Sorry! Don’t yell at me! I enjoy boots, sweatshirts, cozy sweaters, so I guess I can be excited because it’s one season closer to Fall. Okay – fine… I’ll take a step back and slow down. Anyways – I knew very early on this month what my favorite products were going to be for May. I discovered some pretty great cosmetics, hair tools and skin care items, so this time around we have quite a variety. So here you go – here are my May Faves!

Bioderma Hydrabio H20

I am absolutely in love with the original Bioderma, but when I was at The Makeup Show, I stopped at the Alcone booth and picked this bad boy up because it is beneficial for dehydrated skin. While my skin isn’t super dry, it’s dry enough where I have problem areas and can use the extra help. Not only is this just as good as the original, but now I get a boost of hydrating while removing my makeup. I’ve tried many makeup removers and Bioderma by far has the best!

Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask

Speaking of hydration, let’s talk about Pixi Skin Treats! These past few months I mention at least one item from Pixi’s skin care line because I’m pretty much obsessed! This sleep mask is just amazing. I was a bit concerned at first because when I hear the word “mask” I imagine a heavy product sitting on my face, but this lightweight overnight mask provides a nutrient-rich veil of moisture to heal and protect skin while you sleep. It absorbs nicely into the skin and when I wake up, I just wash off and moisturize as I normally do. But I do notice that my skin is brighter and feeling fresher and smoother!

You Are Amazing Lavender Fields Exfoliating Body Scrub & Wash

When I went to the Target Beauty Preview a few weeks ago, I discovered this amazing brand. You Are Amazing has a variety of skin care products that smell amazing. I received the Lavender Fields Exfoliating Body Scrub & Wash in my gift bag and I’ve been obsessed with it since. I’ve been all about lavender lately! Anything lavender, I’m a fan, so I knew I was going to love this product! Not only is the scent absolutely incredible, but the formula is lightweight and helps exfoliate the skin without being too harsh. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth and I love it! FYI – You have to try out the Body Mists! I’ll probably mention one of them next month!

Tarte Tartiest Lash Paint Mascara

I reviewed this mascara recently and if you read my post, you will have seen my rant about how I didn’t love this mascara at first. I won’t get into too much details because you can just go read the review, but needless to say, I’ve become obsessed with it and I love it! The formula is thick, so you have to have a light hand when you apply because it does have the potential to clump. However, work with it a bit and you’ll have intense black, voluminous lashes! I can’t get enough of this mascara!

Senna Cosmetics Lash Detail Mascara

Another mascara, you may ask… YES! I actually reviewed the Senna Lash Detail Mascara yesterday, so please go check out my review! I have been using the Tartiest Lash Paint Mascara on my upper lashes, and then using the Lash Detail on the bottom and my lashes have been looking amazing! This mascara allows you to coat tiny, short lashes, and makes them look defined! Not only is this great for lower lashes, but I actually used them on the top and it makes my lashes look amazing! This is a must-have staple in my makeup kit!

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation

I love this foundation so much and actually mentioned it in my Top 5 Favorite Foundations post from a few weeks ago. This is a recent discovery, as I’ve been seeing NikkieTutorials use this foundation for a long time and I finally had to give in. I initially bought the #117 for my entire face, but decided to also get the #120 and utilize the exact technique Nikkie uses during her tutorials. The combinations of the two foundations create such a natural look and the formula gives me a lovely finish. And let’s face it, stick foundations are so awesome to use. No mess!

Amika Power Cloud Force Hair Dryer

I am so, so, soooo obsessed with this hair dryer! I wrote a review on it recently and I couldn’t stop talking about how much I loved it! This dryer is not only beautiful to look at, but it is so lightweight, heats up nicely, helps dry hair quicker, and makes my hair look super smooth and healthy. I absolutely hate blowing out my hair, but this hair dryer has actually made me look forward to it! That’s how much I love this tool!

So there you have it! My May Faves! Be sure to stay tuned for next month’s selections!
