Well, hello gorgeous!!! Seriously... how could I say no to yet another addition to the Urban Decay Naked Collection? That's right...I can't! Which is why I was so excited when I spotted the NEW Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder at Ulta! I received an e-mail from an Urban Decay PR representative with a press release for this product, so I knew I had to have it when I first laid eyes on it! Boy, am I glad I picked it up because it is... you guessed it... STUNNING!!!
Urban Decay has released the NEW Illuminated Shimmering Powder for both face and body. It's a soft, glowing, beige powder with micro-fine shimmer. A perfect addition to the collection! The light reflecting particles create a luminous look, which I simply love!
First of all, the packaging is gorgeous! The powder comes in a beautiful rose-gold box with a decent sized mirror and little brush, which is stored in a different compartment. I honestly didn't know it was there until I read the press release, so don't forget to check out the poor little brush that's tucked away! I honestly won't be using the brush (as I normally don't use brushes that come with palettes or any other products), but it's a nice gesture on UD's part.
The powder is very smooth and beautiful, but does have a bit of fallout. I can't say that I'm not surprised, as Urban Decay is known to have that type of texture for some of their powders. But that doesn't affect my opinion of the actual quality. The powder is extremely pigmented and quite long-lasting.
I just think it is beautiful! Again...I'm a huge Urban Decay fan, especially when it comes to the Naked Collection! I have all three eyeshadow palettes, the foundation, blush palette and a small version of the BB Cream. Now to complete the collection, I need to get my hands on the Naked Lipglosses (especially Flushed) and the pressed powder. Don't they have a nail polish collection too? It's kind of hard to find, but I'm sure I'll track it down!
Urban Decay's Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder retails for $29.00 and is available exclusively at Ulta. Or online at ulta.com or urban decay.com.
