I’m all for eyeshadow palettes with tons of shades that go for a great price! Some may opt against palettes like these because after all, how good can they possibly be for the value? Eighty-eight shades for only $22.00? Poppycock! Well…there are several companies that manufacture products like these, that sell for a dynamite price and contain quality shadows. Shany Cosmetics is one of them! Shany was kind enough to send me their Natural Fusion Eyeshadow Palette for my review and evaluation and I couldn’t be happier to test it out. I’ve always sort of had my eye on Shany Cosmetics, but the “price + quantity = questionable quality” was branded in my mind. It all seemed too good to be true. But to be honest with you, this palette is just great!
Let me start off with one of my favorite aspects…the packaging. The product itself came in a lovely, very graphic oriented box that made me drawn to the product instantly. Its matte finish and quality photos made me even more excited to try the product.
The packaging for the eyeshadows itself is not bad at all. While it may not feel very heavy duty, it’s certainly good enough for travel. Its slim packaging is perfect for storage and the logo displaying on the front, adds a nice touch to the palette. I love the shiny, plastic cover; however, it does get dirty easily. It is prone to fingerprints, but I’m not going to let that deter my judgment.
The shades in this palette are simply gorgeous and extremely versatile! From daytime subtle looks, to dramatic nighttime looks, you can really have a lot of fun with the colors!
This palette includes:
88 eye shadow colors
29 matte shadows
59 ultra shimmer shadows
2 Dual-Ended Eyeshadow Applicators (which I honestly won't be using)
Some of the shades, however, are a hit or miss. Some shades are a bit chalkier than others, while some may require several applications to build on the color. But here is my thought process…that can go for any eyeshadow palette. I have some Urban Decay palettes that have some chalky formulated eyshadows that doesn’t necessarily pack a punch, so I’m not too disappointed with the Shany palette’s outcome. While some of the shades may be iffy, most of them are quite pigmented and long lasting. I don’t sit around looking for compliments, but I was sitting at work the other day and someone I barely know complimented by eye makeup. And guess what? I was wearing shades from this palette! Once I get a compliment on a product I’m wearing that is fairly new to me, I become officially sold!
So yeah...bottom line, this is a pretty awesome palette! My sister is getting married in November and yours truly will be doing her makeup! I may use a few shades from this palette since some are very light and neutral.
