February Faves

Hi all! So I feel like it is a bit late for February favorites, but I figured its better late than never, so I wanted to share. I had every intention of recording a video, but time (and a dash of laziness) has taken over me these past few weeks. Life gets crazy and I will admit that making a video is the last thing I want to do. However, I’ll never let my fans and followers down, so here is a good old fashioned post! Enjoy!!!

I had quite a bit of favorites this month. The first one is JulieG Nail Polish from Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics. I don’t just like one nail polish…I LOVE THEM ALL!!! I don’t know what took me so long to get my hands on these, but I’m thrilled that I finally decided to try them out! The shades are simply gorgeous, the quality is fabulous and long lasting, the price is extremely reasonable and Julie G is just a sweetheart, so what’s not to love? My favorite shades have to be Cherry on Top and Stiletto, and that was a difficult decision to make! Check out my Julie G Nail Polish Haul HERE!!!

I’m going to be a little less specific once again and choose my second February Favorite as the Milani COLORstatement Lipsticks. Like the JulieG Nail Polish…I love them all! There are some colors that I probably wouldn’t wear, but the quality, colors, pigmentation, staying power and price are to die for! My favorite shade has to be Uptown Mauve! It is a perfect violet/mauve shade and it was the first one I ever tried. It was that one that got me hooked and now thanks to Milani, I’ve had the devine opportunity to try out the entire collection! Take a look at Part 1 and Part 2 of my review with swatches!

My skin has been so strange lately. Not sure if it’s stress, hormones or Mother Nature just messing with me, but my skin has become a bit dry and sensitive. This is something that I have to get used to as I get older and finding a good face cleanser has been somewhat of a challenge; that is until I found Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser. I love this stuff. Not only does it cleanse, but it removes makeup and makes my skin bright and smooth! I use this product in the morning, and put a little bit on my Clarisonic at night and it removes all my makeup and makes my skin feel fresh. The best part…it has not broken me out, which is amazing because my skin, especially my forehead, is prone to acne.
I posted this product on my Instagram this past week because I needed to profess my love. Good thing there is Instagram because if there wasn’t I would have had to scream my admiration from the rooftops! Not really, but still…I love this product! The NYX Cosmetics Wonder Pencil is a multi-purpose product that can be used to brighten, conceal and line. Every morning, I line my lips and smudge a little bit, just to mute out the lip line. This helps me to create a clean line with my lipliner and lipstick and prevents the color from bleeding! I’ve also used it as a highlight for just under my brow and that was recommended to me by a NYX makeup artist at the Spring 2013 Launch Event.
The C. Booth Honey & Almond Body Butter is another product I professed my love for on Instagram this past week! While I must admit, this product is a tad heavy (as expected for a body butter) and a bit greasy, it is the only thing that has helped my hands fight the winter dryness and the only product that has helped my dry, peeling cuticles! No oils, cuticle remover…nothing has helped my cuticles, but using this stuff once a night close to bedtime is what has changed my hands for the better! Furthermore, the smell is so delicious!
Lastly, the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer (heavy duty is an understatement).;  This stuff conceals blemishes, dark/tired eyes and then some! I cannot even begin to describe the full coverage it provides! Each morning, before work, I wake up looking less than happy and enthused. With just a bit of this concealer it transforms my under eyes and helps me look alive at 6:30 in the morning. Don’t even get me started on how it covers a pimple! It makes it disappear! It’s incredible…enough said!
And there you have it, my darlings! My February Favorites! It is so difficult to choose my favorite products because I feel that I love and discovery so many throughout each month! Needless to say, I love everything that I listed and I hope if you tried them, you feel the same way!

  1. Wow that lip color (Uptown Mauve) Looks fabulous on you girl! You pull off that shade so well. Great favorites! :)

  2. OMG I’m so glad you mentioned the Hard Candy concealer–I keep picking it up and then I think “Nooooo, no way it will work that well!” and I put it back! Next time I’m in Walmart I’ll pick it up for sure.
