Avon Limited Edition Irresistibly Sexy Collection

As I was flipping through my Avon magazine about a month ago, I was drawn to the Avon Limited Edition Irresistibly Sexy Collection. I knew right then and there that I had to have it. This isn’t my first rodeo with Avon products. My mother-in-law is an Avon representative and I always love to try new items. Furthermore, I've done a full review on the Avon Glow Collection, which I still happen to love; and the Avon Color Rich Rubies Lipsticks. I recorded a video featuring the Irresistibly Sexy Collection, however, due to my love/hate relationship with technology, my camera cut off in the middle of my video and I decided that it just wasn’t meant to be. Here are some photos and swatches from this collection.

First of all…that packaging! Ohhh that packaging, how adorable! Each item is so girly, fun

and…well…SEXY! Besides the gorgeous shades, this had to be the first thing that attracted me to this collection! How could I say no to eyeshadows in a corset shaped palette?

The lipshades are stunning! I’ve never had a problem with Avon lip products, as I always love their lipsticks and glosses. The one thing that I do have issues with, and I’ve read reviews on this also, is the shades in the magazine and online are very different from the actual product. Luckily, the products are reasonable and I usually enjoy the shades, so I’m over that hurdle.

Many of these glosses are heavy on the glitter and I'm usually not too big on glitter because I never like the texture. However, the glitter glosses in this collection are just lovely. The shades are sort of sheer, not sticky and really make your lips pop! My favorite shade has to be Super Sexy Red, because me and red…we just love each other!

As I mentioned, this palette is adorable! Once you see it, you can’t say no and just leave it behind. However…although the packaging is super cute…I am not a big fan of the eyeshadows. They are not that pigmented, they are really chalky and I wasn’t very happy with them. I used the Forbidden palette and did a smokey blue eye with gold lids and although I liked the look in the end, I didn’t love it. I feel I could have gotten my desired look a lot easier with more pigmented and creamy shadows, so bottom line I didn’t have much luck. At least I have some decorative pieces in my makeup collection.

I love the Avon Supershock MAX Mascara, so I figured I would have enjoyed this mascara in Black Obsessed. Furthermore, the wand is so unique! The applicator is in a swirl shape, but I honestly have no idea what that is supposed to do. I love the shape of the want, the bottle is cute, but the mascara is just okay. If I want BIG, SEXY and FULL lashes, this mascara is not for you. The Avon Supershock MAX Mascara would give you more of that effect. If you want subtle, cute lashes, then this mascara works, but I personally love my lashes to make a statement. Will I use this mascara? Yes, I will. Just not as often as others in my collection.

Cute collection! The lipglosses have to be my favorite and if you were to purchase any of them, I would highly recommend Super Sexy Red and Undressed Nude. The rest of the products in the collection are just okay, but I did enjoy trying them out, because as a “cosmeholic”, I love trying new things!
