My First Thoughts as a Julep Maven

I simply couldn't resist! I have become a Julep Maven! For months I have been curious about this box, and my curiosity grew stronger along with my nail polish addiction. During the holidays, I kept getting e-mails from companies all about the end of year sales there were having. Because I saw Julep having one, I figured I would give it a shot and buy a few polishes. After a minor technical issue, I had to contact the company to confirm my purchase. The customer service was incredible! The woman I spoke with was extremely helpful and I was convinced…I had to be a maven! I instantly signed up and now I am a member of yet another beauty box subscription. Who have I become? My box came a lot quicker than I expected and I just love it! I got two gorgeous nail polishes, two nail glitters and cuticle oil. I received the shades Viola and Gloria and they are right up my alley! The dark vampy purple of Viola and the warm coral of Gloria is perfect and two fab colors two combine for nail art purposes.

Not sure if I will use the nail glitter often (due to my laziness, not the quality of the product) but I am still happy with them. I swatched the silver glitter on a nail wheel and it was so cool! I am slowly but surely becoming a glitter freak, so they're always good to have on hand.

The cuticle oil was an answer to my prayers! I asked my followers on Facebook and Twitter for some cuticle tips because mine are so dry and peeling. Of course, many said cuticle oil and "DUH" instantly came to mind because hell, why didn’t I think of that? Sometimes I don’t understand why I overlook things so simple. This cuticle oil is great and very convenient. I love the sleek packaging and the roller ball application makes it easy to apply and less messy than other leading brand oils.

So there you have it…I am obsessed. What I love about this box is that I don’t have to get it every month. This works for me because I have another box that I can skip if I want to and perhaps I will alternate boxes each month because my beauty box subscriptions are becoming a little ridiculous now. Bottom line, I am obsessed with Julep and according to some of my followers and fellow bloggers, my obsession will grow stronger the longer I am a member. I simply cannot wait for next month!
