Lorac Pro Palette

I have never owned a product from Lorac Cosmetics...until now! I saw something on Makeup Geek about this palette, and although I was quite curious, I kind of pushed the product aside and went my merry way. The other day, while using some gift cards in Sephora, I saw this palette and decided to take a look. I swatched one color and I was absolutely stunned! I knew right then and there I had to have this extremely versatile palette! When I posted on Instagram and on my Early Birthday Shopping Haul that I picked this up, I got quite a few people who were every curious to see a review. I can't let my followers down, so here is what I have to say about this palette. ENJOY!!!

This palette is AH-MAY-ZING! Yes...I'm getting all CRAZAY with you guys! I love it! This professional palette features 16 highly pigmented eyeshadows "infused with soothing botanicals". I don't know what that means...I saw it on the Sephora website and it sounded too good not to say! What I love about this palette is the equal distribution of matte and shimmer eyeshadows. Some palettes have too much of one and not the other, and this palette has exactly what one needs to create a variety of awesome looks!

As I mentioned, the shades are ultra-pigmented, the texture is smooth and the staying power is extremely long lasting! It was the color Slate, a shimmery charcoal shade, that sold me! I literally put my index finger on the shade and the tip was packed with color! Furthermore, the Black shadow in the palette is the most intense black I have ever come across...and I have tried my share of black shadows! There is very little fallout..maybe a tiny bit with the black, but not nearly enough to notice or dislike the product!

First Row - Mattes

From the left:
White, Cream, Taupe, Light Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black

Second Row - Shimmers

From the left:
Nude, Champagne, Gold, Light Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate
I am very particular with my shimmer shades lately, and these just blew me away! I love Champagne, Pewter, Deep Purple and Slate! Just amazing!

My only complaints about the palette...don't worry...nothing too bad. The packaging. I like how it is very sleek and thin, but the texture reminds me of the NARS packaging, and it gets very dirty, very easily. You can see in the photo below, that some makeup on my hands didn't come off the palette with a quick wipe down. Yes...I am sure I can clean it up with a wipe, but I don't really clean my makeup packages unless it is necessary.

My only other complaint is the color Garnet. I was really excited about this shade, but I was a tad let down. Garnet is my birthstone, and when I think of it, I think of deep, sexy red. The Garnet in this palette is more of a burnt orange-red. The shade is okay, but I think with it's name, I was just hoping for a little more.
This palette also comes with a Mini Behind the Scenes Eyeshadow Primer, which is great. I really do like it and will keep it as a spare primer. I am very set in my ways with what I use and rarely change it up. It is a decent primer though.

Viola! Isn't this palette just great! I must say, after purchasing this palette, I am now a Lorac fan and I am really excited to check out their other products!
Have you tried this palette?
If so, what do you think?
If not, curious to give it a try?
Because I am now a Lorac fan, what are your favorite products?
I need some suggestions on some things to try :)

Right now I am exchanging products with someone from Germany, so maybe within the next few months, I will take you up on it and I will return the favor :)

  12. OMG, been eyeing that exact same palette for the longest time. I've seen it all over youtube last year, but it's hard to buy it here in Philippines. I found a couple of online stores that sell it but it was sold out right away. Still waiting for sellers to restock. huhuhu

You just want more? haha Lorac's e/s quality is just amazing and I think it's def worth adding to your collection. Great swatches hun! :)
