Glossybox – December 2012

With the holidays, I kept putting off publishing my reviews on my monthly beauty boxes. It was a holiday box and I just couldn’t go without saying anything about it…especially since I skipped November’s box (shame on ME). I am just going to cut to the chase and tell you all about my Holiday Glossybox! ENJOY!!!

How gorgeous is the packaging this month???
Ecru New York Cosmetic Hair Care – Protein Oil
I have mentioned my demise about getting hair products in my beauty boxes, but hair treatments are another story. This is a multi-tasking product that provides deep conditioning, while eliminated frizz and treating dead ends. Furthermore, it protects against head damage and is a smoothing hair serum. WOW! All that in one little bottle? Impossible? NOPE! This stuff is great! Unfortunately, I only had enough for one time use, but I just loved it! What a treat for my hair! However…at $30.00…I don’t think I will repurchase. I just don’t have it in me to spend that much on a hair product.
Forest Essentials Luxurious Ayureveda –
Madurai Jasmine & Mogra Bath & Shower Oil
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…WHAT!?!?! Yes…that is the name of this product! I had to look at the card several times, as I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I didn’t see any spaces. Anyways, this is a bath and shower oil that leaves your skin feeling smooth. I did really like this product, but I am not huge on oils. I used it once, it smelled very nice, but I just don’t have the urge to use it often. Maybe when I am feeling relaxed and in the mood to pamper myself, but I honestly don’t have the patience for oil and slippery skin. Again, it made my skin feel really nice, but I only used it once, so I cannot make a formed opinion.
Heartland Fragrance Co. – Bath Salts
Well this was just lovely! These are White Tea aromatherapy Epsom bath salts that smell AMAZING! I have been having some very stressful days lately, and last night I treated myself to a bath, using this product! I don’t know what it was, but I instantly felt relaxed and it soothed my skin. At $10.00 I will be sure to repurchase this because this is great when you want to just chill!
Oscar Blandi – Pronto Dry Heat Protectant Spray
I should have put this in my New Years Beauty Resolutions Tag! My goal this year is to use products that protect my hair from heat. I am constantly using hair straighteners and dryers, and everyone knows that it is so unhealthy for your hair! This product is rich in keratin proteins and while protecting your hair from the heat, it provides shine and a firm hold for any hair style. I did like this product, but I didn’t find it to be any different from the heat protectant products that I already use; which tend to be significantly cheaper. I only used it a few times, but I honestly don’t think it is worth the $23.00. Again, I can’t spend a lot of money on hair products unless I am head-over-heels in love with it!
Pleats Please By Issey Miyake – Eau de Toilette
Perfume names and perfume commercials make me cringe! I don’t know what it is, but I have mentioned before that I am very particular about my perfumes! Like hair samples, I dislike perfume samples, but hey…you have to please everyone and give them a selection, right? I am terrible at describing perfumes, which is why I rarely do reviews about them, so I will just say this…smells good…but I will stick with what I’m used to.
Zoya Nail Lacquers – Storm
This product made this entire box worth it to me! By the Beard of Zeus, I am absolutely in love with this shade and it has to be a new favorite of mind! Storm is from the Ornate Winter 2012/2013 Collection and is a black polish with holographic, microdiamond glitter. Doesn’t that just sound devine? I loved this polish so much that I had to get another color from this collection, and ended up ordering Blaze! I just love it and this polish has official made me a huge Zoya Nail Polish Fan!
A Special Gift this Holiday Season

Well this was very sweet. This company has jewelry that is inspired by the runway, vintage styles and on-trend celebrity styles. This necklace is so pretty and although I am not a big accessory girl, it is just lovely and extremely versatile. Check out JewelMint’s website…they have some lovely pieces.
There you have it! I can’t say I was pleased with all the products, but again, that Zoya polish just blew me away! Thank you, Glossybox, for the lovely gift!
Do you get the Glossybox? What did you think of this month?
Do you get any beauty boxes? If so, which ones?
If not, do you want to try a beauty box?

  1. Seems like a very varied box! That polish looks so pretty though, I’ve never seen it before! xx

  2. Nice box!!! I just filmed my video for my Dec Glossybox too. Better late than never right? keke I got a belt from Jewelmint.. kind of disappointed bc I don’t wear belts. Didn’t even know they had belts! haha I was hoping for an earring or bracelet. I got a Mark lipstick and a gold Zoya polish which was really nice so that made up for it. :)

  3. The Zoya polish looks like the best part! The necklace is kind of pretty too. The rest of the box is just sort of meh, either too expensive or stuff I wouldn’t want (like the perfume sample!).

  4. I really want to try the GlossyBox and your post may have convinced me to sign up!! That polish is amazing, too!
