Mac Cosmetics Hey Sailor! Collection Haul & Review

This blog is a bit early, considering I usually post on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I can't wait any longer!!!  Let me just start off by saying that I have been waiting anxiously for the Hey Sailor! Collection from Mac Cosmetics.  From the moment my "Mac Lady" told me about this collection, I knew I was going to love it; and once I did my research and saw a sneak peak on Temptalia's website, I was psyched!  First of all, I am a sucker for packaging designs!  The design of this collection is blue and white nautical stripes with gold text.  Besides the packaging, why did I love it?  Mac Cosmetics puts it best:

"Set sail this summer with a colour collection inspired by the glam of vintage pin-up girls. Go overboard with the never-ending colours of Pro Longwear Lip Pencils, Zoom Waterfast Lash, Lipglass and more!"

Pin-up looks are one of my absolute favorite makeup inspirations!  With flawless skin, subtle eyes and bright red lips, I knew this collection was right up my alley.  This is a HUGE Limited Edition Collection, with 5 eyeshadows, 2 pigments, a new mascara, 3 eyepencils, 4 lipsticks, 5 lipglasses, 3 suntint lip balms, 3 lip pencils, a highlighting powder, 2 nail lacquers, 2 bronzing powders, 2 bronzing oils, a face blending brush, makeup bag, tote bag and a partridge in a pear tree, you have to get your hands on these pronto! On Saturday, I did a little Hey Sailor haul...wanna see what I bought?  Watch the video below!

A Random Tag for Today!

Hello everybody!  What a crazy weekend it has been.  If this were a normal Tuesday, I would have done my full review on the Hey Sailor! Collection from Mac Cosmetics, but due to the craziness of moving and the holiday weekend, I didn't get the opporunity to review and record.  Hopefully, I will get to post it on Thursday.

Anyway, here is a tag I found on Boho Vanity's Blog, that I thought would be fun...Enjoy!

By the way...I apologize if this tag looks oddly formatted...Blogger seems to be having a few glitches today!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is naturally curly.  It took years and a lot of practice to finally get it to look right!

2. What is your natural hair color?
Light brown.  I don't think I can ever go back to my natural color at this point :)

 3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
My sister-in-law is a hair dresser and does it for me.  Nice having a personal hair stylist in the family!

4. How often do you wash your hair?
It depends...if its curly, everyday because most the time I can't style it the way I want to unless is freshly washed; if its straight, I was every other day.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
I usually wear the same style everyday.  Its hard for me to veer away from what I am used to.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do it all myself, unless its a special occasion (ex. if I'm in a wedding).  I find it hard to sit still in a salon...I get impatient. (Check out my blog on "How to Give Yourself a Professional  Looking Manicure")

7. How often to you change your nail polish?
Once it starts to chip and look worn is usually when I decide to change up the color.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?
I polish my toes in the winter too...I like my toes lookin' cute all year round :P

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?
Again...it depends.  If I try something new, maybe a half hour; if I do something quick, maybe 15 minutes or so.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Face.  I have a hard time doing my eyes and then my foundation...I somehow ruin it in the end lol
11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Collect.........its an obsession..........

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
If I am going out on a date night with my hubby or if I am going to a party or an event.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
Indeed I do!
 14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?
With family...yes...unless I'm just going to casually hang out.  When I'm home alone...NO WAY!!!

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
I will and I have...but its rare.

16. How many high end products do you have?
Lately, I have quite a bit.  As a beauty blogger, I am enjoying exploring all types of products, both high and low end.

Sneak preview of my Hey Sailor Haul :)

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
I probably do a deep cleaning once a week.  I LOVE cleaning them because it feel like new afterwards.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?Decide when I am getting dressed.  Although, I should start deciding every night, as it would save a bundle of time in the morning.

19. How often do you change your handbag?
Not often enough.  I have a black leather Nine West purse that I use all year round.  I have a ton of bags, but I never change it up.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?
I usually wake up between 6:15-6:30 AM for work, and lately, I have been going to sleep late...my mind keeps going and its hard for me to go to sleep...I HATE THAT!!!

21. How often & when do you workout?
I used to work out like a man woman, but I burnt myself out and got lazy.  Once life gets back to
normal, I plan to go back to the gym and get back into shape.

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?
Right.

23. How tall are you?
About 5'10.  I've always been very tall.

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
No...although I wish I spoke Italian.

25. How many pets do you have?
I have a one and a half year old Lab-Pitt...Olive.  I love my baby!!!!

26. How often are you on Blogger?
Everyday!!!
27. Do you read the comments posted blogs?
Of course!

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I need to start because I try a product based on another review and I want to tell them I tried it due to their recommendation, then I forgot who posted it in the first place!

29. How did you come up with your blog name?
Long story.  I actually posted a blog about it about a month ago!
Click here to read "Hey Bloggers!!! Where Did You Get Your Blog Name???".

30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?
My iPhone...not even joking!

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)
Lately...not often enough!

32. What is your favorite color?
RED RED RED!!!! To this day, I honestly don't know why my blog has pink accents.  I never was a fan of pink to be honest with you!
33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?
I love Glamour Magazine!  Its got a mix of everything I love!

34. Do you swear?
Sometimes...I am trying to cut down.

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Work....recording my Hey Sailor! Review....some packing!

Due to the fact that I have no time right now and I am too lazy to tag people, I am going to copy Boho Vantiy and TAG EVERYONE!!!!

Let me know if you will do this tag!!!
I would love to read what you have to say :)

Sigma Beauty Limited Edition Paris Palette Review

The wait is over...us beauty bloggers don't have to sit at the edge of our seats any longer!!!  About two weeks ago, Sigma finally released the highly anticipated Limited Edition Paris Palette.  Sigma collaborated with seven of the most popular YouTube Beauty Gurus to create this beautiful palette inspired by landmark monuments and locations in Paris, France.

Photo above from Instagram @HelloMissNiki

This palette includes 8 unique eyeshadows, 2 blushes and a highlighter to compliment all skin tones.  In addition to this already amazing palette, it also comes with two essential Sigma brushes for flawless makeup application.

Curious about what I thought about the palette itself and the colors...just watch my review below (trust me when I say I am far from disappointed!!!)

ENJOY!!!

Isn't this palette just BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't say enough about it! The journey these beauty bloggers went on is absolutely incredible and I truly admire their passion.  Again, I am not sure how long this palette will be out for, as it is limited edition.  The cost of this palette is $59.00, which is a bit pricey, but if you do your research, you may be able to get a coupon code (I got $10 off the palette from using a code that TiffanyD provided).  Bottom line, if you want to get your hands on it...what are you waiting for?????  Check it out!!!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE SEVEN INCREDIBLE AND TALENTED BEAUTY GURUS!!!  BE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT!!!

Drugstore Discovery: Wet 'n Wild Limited Edition Beach Bomb Shell Color Icon Bronzer

Well this blog title sure is a mouth full!  While I was cruisin' around in my new car this past weekend (YAY), I ended up in Harmon's Face Values...one of my favorite stores to splurge in!  I am sure you know how much of a sucker I am for good drugstore deals; I just LOVE my Revlon Lip Butters (see full review) and did a review on another Wet n' Wild product months ago (see full review).  Well I found another product that I just love for the summer and that is Wet 'n Wild Limited Edition Beach Bomb Shell Color Icon Bronzer.  I am a crazy person when it comes to product and packaging design and this just caught my eye right away!

Apparently there are three shades to this collection, but I only picked up two of them because the third was sold out.  I will admit, its a bit awkward to work with and store due to its large packaging, but its certainly a bargain at $4.99 and worth a try!

I won't be using this product everyday, as its a little too dark for my skin tone, and I am just in love with my Physicians Formula PH Matchmaker Bronzer, but its a pretty cool product to have in my collection and perfect to have for when I get a very RARE temporary tan!

The names of the shades are really cute too!  See below for the names of the shades and swatches.

Shell-A-Brate Good Times

Very dark bronzer with a slight shimmer in the middle
surrounded by a very light beige powder

Don't Be Shellfish

Beautiful light pink shimmery shade (great for a highlight)
surrounded by dark slightly shimmery bronzer

Me Shell My Belle
(Not Pictured)
Lovely pink blush surrounded by a
dark slightly shimmery bronzer

I always feel bad when I don't own all of the products to show you, so I apologize for not being able to show you the third bronzer.  Furthermore, I am sorry for not showing how the bronzer looks applied.  I will admit, this was a last minute choice for a blog topic, as things are still a tad crazy right now!  Cannot wait to get back to routine :)

Not sure how long they are going to be around for since they are limited edition, but check them out.  For $5 you cannot go wrong right :)

Have you tried these before?  If so, what do you think?

Oh yeah...and here is the new ride I was talking about :)

YEAHHH BABY!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
And her name is Katniss...thats right...Katniss!!!
Don't judge me :)
