Did You Know that Estée Lauder (and her daughter-in-law Evelyn Lauder) were the co-creators of the iconic pink breast cancer ribbon? Estée Lauder began giving back over 20 years ago and created one of the first Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns. Since then, the company has donated over $35 million to breast cancer research and education. This campaign is also responsible for landmarks throughout popular cities being lit up in pink for the month of October.
This company has done so much for breast cancer awareness! This year, Estée Lauder came out with the Evelyn Lauder Dream Lip Collection
to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Evelyn passed away from Breast Cancer in 2011 at the age of 75, and this year, these products are dedicated to her.
This collection includes Pure Long Lasting Lipstick in Candy and Pure Color Gloss in Pink Innocence. Believe it or not, I never really had any Estée Lauder products in my collection. They were always a bit too pricey for me, but this collection I just had to have since 20% of the proceeds from each purchase are donated. I cannot say that I love the color in Candy, but I certainly do not regret buying it. The color is a little too pink and shimmery for my taste, but I still do think it is lovely and some people, depending on their skin tone, can certainly get away with it beautifully. The gloss I think it gorgeous! It is a tad sticky, but the shade is sheer and gorgeous and works perfectly alone or over a lipstick.
Furthermore, I have to rave about the packaging design! I just love it! Its colorful and feminine, and gives the products such a classy and elegant look…I would expect nothing less from Estée Lauder!
Lastly, the beautiful pink snakeskin clutch! This has to be my absolute favorite part of this collection! It is stunning and I just adore the little gold charm with the heart and breast cancer ribbon on the zipper. Its perfect to carry my makeup in, or carry it around on a night where you don’t want to drag your purse anywhere!
As the Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Campaign says, together, we can connect, communicate and conquer for a future free of Breast Cancer.
“If you have a goal, if you want to be successful, if you really want to do it
and become another Estée Lauder, you’ve got to work hard,
you’ve got to stick to it and you’ve got to believe in what you’re doing.”
