Besides the fact that I am testing and reviewing products that benefit Breast Cancer research, I have never tried any skin care products from Clinique. For years, I have seen the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion's Breast Cancer Awareness Edition, so I figured this year, I would give it a shot. I am certainly glad I did!
I have been very cautious with my skin lately. I think since I've become a beauty blogger, I am much more aware about the importance of skin care. I have developed a pretty good regimen and I am confident that this moisturizer is now a MUST! This lotion is #3 in Cliniques 3-Step Skin Care System and is meant to smooth and improve skin complexion. I have been using this moisturizer, along with a rejuvenating skin serum (review COMING IN NOVEMBER) and I must say, I truly see a difference. I feel like my skin is clearer, smoother and overall brighter! When I take off my makeup at the end of the day, sometimes I am stunned at the redness and discoloration, but I can now strut my stuff, makeupless, and I believe I owe it all to this moisturizer!

Along with the moisturizer, comes an adorable Clinique Signature key chain and I just love it! Clinique also donates a portion of the proceeds from their Pink with a Purpose Chubby Stick. This moisturizer contains mineral oil as the second ingredient right after water! It also contains lanolin and dyes :( There is nothing beneficial in this product for the skin! It's great that they are supporting breast cancer though :)
ReplyDeleteI totally admit...I don't look at ingredients. I know!!! I know!!! It's terrible!! I really should!! I'm just not educated enough to know what I'm looking at. I just like how it makes my skin feel! I'm crazy I know lol

DeleteI used to use this moisturizer, and sadly, I think I'm allergic to mineral oil, because every time I've used this, it would lead to tons of redness, BUT! It did work for my sister!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I always say to customers when I talk skin care with them. If something works for you, and you love it, stick to it. There is no use in changing, and making your skin go crazy!!

i absolutely agree!!! i cant tell you how many products i have tried after reading negative reviews and i happen to love it. everyone is different!!

ReplyDeleteI've used so far three sample sizes of this product (I like buying Clinique value sets whenever I travel) and it's really good for oily skin. I haven't noticed that the ingredients had done something to make my skin worse, if any it has made it better. It may not contain the most natural of all ingredients but what is more important?, use a 100% natural product that does nothing for your skin and it's a waste of your money or use a product that does work for your skin? All the acne treatments and anti-aging don't have exactly the most natural of all ingredients (benzol peroxide, alpha hydroxy acid, sulfur, retinol etc.). There's only so much Aloe and other plants can do : /
the keychain is great! i agree. i honestly dont use a lot of products with natural ingredients. i am not educated enough about what they use to understand, but if it works for me, then i am happy!

DeleteI tried this a while ago, think a magazine was giving small tubes of this stuff away? But have to agree! It is a plain moisturiser but moisturises so SO well. It really does smoothen out the skin xo
