First of all, let me start off by saying that My Glam Bag is no longer called My Glam, but ipsy. This change was launched this past month and postcards were sent along with the bag to all of the current subscribers. The name may have changed, but ipsy still provides the same incredible beauty products for only $10 a month!
With that being said, I am, once again, thrilled with my bag this month! My August Bag was fantastic and I was truly hoping that moving forward, each month would be just as impressive. I must say, for the price, it certainly was! Lets cut to the chase and see what I got this time around, shall we? ENJOY!!!
If I get a brush, I'm happy! I have never heard of SOHO Brushes before, but I have to say, I like it! I have a ton of brushes, but this one is great for creating a perfect smokey look, which is what I opt for most of the time. This brush has a thin, lightweight aluminum handle and the bristles are soft but firm, making it simple to smudge liner and/or blend colors. This product alone has a retail value of $5.97, and can be purchased at Walmart.
Don't hate me, but I have not had a chance to sample this product!!! I'm sorry!!! I kept forgetting I had it! I always do that with hair products for some reason. BUT...I am excited to try this because I am highly prone to split ends. Let me just show you the description of what ipsy had to say:
A repairing lotion that instantly binds the frayed and separated ends of your hair so you can skip the trim and keep your length. For over 2,000 years, Tahitians have used Monoi Oil for its natural reparative properties that undo and prevent damage from the sun, sea and surf. Made of ingredients that only grow in Tahiti, Monoi Oil is made in a 15-day ritual using Tiare Gardenia Flower blossoms and Coprah Coconut Oil.
Apply a pea-sized amount to wet or dry hair. Make sure to smooth completely through to the ends. Style as usual.

It has some pretty good reviews, so I am looking forward to giving it a shot! This product is worth $25.00 for the full size. Not bad, but lets see if its really worth it!
You know what happens when I get cosmetics in my monthly subscription boxes...I FREAK OUT! Therfore, I was pretty thrilled to see this lip gloss. This gloss is so pretty and has a beautiful shimmer. The bright pink shade certainly packs a punch and makes my lips look full and lucious...yes...LUCIOUS! This product contains Vitamin E to provide moisiture to your lips and looks great alone or on top of another lip color (I usually don't wear lip gloss alone). My one issue, is it is a bit too sticky for my taste. I am very picky when it comes to lip glosses and although I think the color is great, not sure I love the texture. It is certainly not bad...it could be worse, but its the only thing that bugs me. Other than that, I'm happy with it! This product has a retail value of $10...which is the subscription alone!
More cosmetics!!! I am singing ipsy's praises! An eyeshadow...ohhhh how I love my eyeshadows!!! This mineral eyeshadow came in a pan (get out your Z-Palettes people) and provides a long lasting look with the perfect amount of shimmer. I haven't been wearing much shimmer lately, but I think this product is just right. The color is absolutely gorgeous, its pigmented and it has a talc-free formula for flawless application.
Last month, I recieved a nail polish from this brand, and this month, I got another! I am totally loving this month's shade in Tightrope! Last month's color was gorgeous, but this one is perfect for my taste! Tightrope is a rich purple shade and is apparently one of Andrea's Choice's personal favorites! I love how the nail polish applies, as I only needed two coats of polish. I did experience some chipping, but I honestly don't believe it was due to the quality of the polish. My nails have been extremely brittle and chip easily lately. Additionally, I don't believe its the polish because last month's did not have that affect on me. I love this brand, but I do think its time to include more Fall shades in the bags. But trust me, I am certainly not complaining!
To sum it up...WOW!!! I am loving ipsy! I just love the variety of products and cosmetics and looking forward to next month's! I cannot wait for the Fall and Holiday bags! I am so excited!!!

Deleteim going to have to try it as a bronzer...its so pretty! cant wait for the holiday bag!! hopefully they will be good to us LOL
Love that nail polish colour, it is so amazing and bright. Does it last well on your nails? I am a bi of an OPI and Essie addict because they last so well. So it would take something good to make me stray away from those brands.
ReplyDeleteStories of an English Rose
honestly...nothing really stays on my nails, so its hard to make a judgement. even opi, essie, china glaze...only certain colors last longer than others. i have a method that i may start to use for making the polish last longer, and after a few more tests, if it is successful, i will share with my followers :)
DeleteOk cool, that would be great because I really love that colour. Although it's not available in the UK, hmmm maybe ebay..........
DeleteIs this what Michelle Phan founded? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, the eyeshadow looks so nice! jealous @_@ hoping it was open internationally. :/
