Kryolan Makeup Review from a First Timer

I am finally getting around to sharing my thoughts about Kryolan.  Ever since I saw Miss Chievous use this brand in a few of her video tutorials, I have wanted to get my hands on some products. I honestly don't know why it took me so long to buy, but about a month ago, I finally gave in and found some makeup to try.

Kryolan Professional Makeup is a cosmetics company that has been around for over 65 years and specializes in manufacturing cosmetics for theater, film and television, while also providing makeup for everyday use. I ended up purchasing some of their products from Planet Costume, a company that sells, well...obviously costumes, along with professional makeup for low prices.  I have bought Ben Nye products from them in the past and they have always been very accommodating and professional. Thats enough background information, lets jump into what I bought myself!  Enjoy!!!

I honestly really wanted to try their Goddess Trio, but they do not sell it in the U.S. Fortunately, I am able to somehow get my hands on it, as Kryolan told me that if I really wanted it, we can somehow work it out.  For now, I wanted this palette because I felt like I can use it for an everyday look.  The packaging is very slim and seems extremely durable and, of course, professional looking.  Inside are three, rather large, pans of shadows that are highly pigmented.  I absolutely love the shades included in this set which are Beige (the color is quite self explanatory by the name), Beach (a darker cream color) and Tiramisu (a copper shade). The best part is that the eyeshadows all have a matte finish and apply beautifully!

I had such a hard time choosing a lipstick to try because they all looked absolutely beautiful! I figured, for now, I would go with something a little more basic, so thats why I chose this lovely pink rose color.  First of all, the shade is gorgeous and extremely long lasting!  Second of all, this product has a matte finish and is infused with Vitamin E, in order to protect and moisturize the lips. Bottom line, I need to get more lipsticks like this, and they have 48 shades to choose from...and thats ONLY in the Classic collection!

If you are a makeup artist, you MUST own this product!  I wanted to buy this pen because I was in the process of trying to perfect my winged eyeliner technique.  As someone, who struggled and made countless mistakes, this product was incredible to have on hand!  This felt tip pen is designed for precise, minor makeup removal and is amazing when using it on the eyes and lips. The formula is a bit oily, but applying a minimal amount will not affect the rest of your makeup.  Included are three more felt tips, stored at the bottom of the pen, and you can also purchase applicator refills if you happen to run out.

I am now a huge fan of Kryolan!  The funny thing is, I was a fan before I even tried them out! Besides the fact that they have tons of high quality cosmetics to choose from, their customer service is fabulous!  I couldn't be happier with my purchases and I WILL eventually get my hands on that gorgeous Goddess Trio!

Have you tried Kryolan Makeup?
What are your thoughts?
If you haven't, are you curious to try?

  1. The best makeup usually doesn't have the prettiest packaging : / Ben Nye seems pretty amazing too, Pixiwoo talks about it all the time but the packaging is meh so many people think the products are bad. I'm glad you're liking your Kryolan products, it's so nice when a product lives up to the hype and beyond ^^ xx

    2. I have used their stick makeups a lot. They cover so well that you don't even need concealer.
In Summer I posted my bridal makeup rehearsals and today my final bridal makeup where I have used Kryolan products.
During the rehearsals I fell in love with their 'satin powder' eyeshadow. I couldn't believe that a dust eyeshadow could be so stable.

  15. I have their primer for dry skin with spf (very waxy stuff, but it helps with full coverage foundations to look natural on my cheek area), I also have a countouring brush and their sponges.

    Brush is scratchy.
Sponges are amazing, washing machine safe and all. I doesn't fall apart of tare like usual sponges do.

I would own more products if I were able to see swatches of everything I am interested in because Slovenia doesn't have a walk-in store. Concealers and foundations I really want.

They also have their own version of the Naked palette
