Glossybox - August 2012 (The BEST One Yet!!!)

I was practically freaking out when I opened August's Glossybox!  This has to be the best one yet!  I have always loved my Glossyboxes, but this one TOPS them ALL!!!  Let me just cut to the chase and show you what I got!  ENJOY!!!

First of all, I was provided with another fabulous issue of Glossy Mag.  The cover says it all...this magazine is all about color!  Some amazing products were displayed; some bright blue nail polishes, neon pink lipsticks, tangerine lip balms and lavender blushes!  I was so intrigued by this issue!

Illamasqua Nail Varnish - Taint

 

That's right people...BELIEVE IT!!!  Illamasqua Nail Polish...in my Glossybox...NO FREAKING WAY!!!  I thought I heard a rumor or saw something about Glossybox including a nail varnish in their box, but I figured it was too good to be true.  When I received my box, I was hoping that it was in there, and low and behold...it was!  I was totally freaking out!  I am not sure if everyone got the same color, but I got Taint, a stone-brown shade...perfect for the Fall!  This polish alone is worth $14.00.

Ellis Faas Lip Color - L102

 

 

I have never heard of this brand before, but that certainly didn't keep me from being excited about it!  First of all...it's red...and I am obsessed with red color!  The packaging is pretty awesome too.  It is a very long metallic, bullet shaped tube; and the best part is, I believe it is at full size (I can't see how the product could be any bigger anyways).  This product comes in three different textures; creamy, to create lips with a matte finish, milky for a glossy look and glazed for a real burst of color.  This deep wine shade has a creamy finish and is just amazing!  This product is parabean-free, loaded with Vitamin E, which helps the color blend into the lips leaving them smooth, soft and feeling conditioned. This lip color alone, has a retail value of $35.00.  So far, for two products, the box is already worth $49.00!

 

Touch In Sol - Feel Like Honey Moon Skin Base

 

 

Touch In Sol is another brand that I haven't heard of, but I was thrilled because its a skin primer!  I have been using this product just before I apply my foundation and I love it!  It has a very smooth texture and firms the skin to create an amazing canvas to work from.  It smells great...not like honey, as I was expecting, but I still love the scent because its very fresh!  This primer is perfect for all skin types, as it leaves the skin feeling extremely moist.

 

Ole Henricksen Truth Serum

I have heard of this high end brand before, as I received a sunscreen sample in my Sephora Sun Safety Kit.  I was really excited to see this product in my box because I fell in love skin serums after trying my EcoGenics Skin Serum from SFR Beauty.  This product is high in Vitamin C and helps smooth out lines and wrinkles, while keeping your skin moisturized.  I honestly don't know if it helps smooth wrinkles, because I don't have any, but it did leave my face feeling amazing, hydrated and soft!

Furthermore, I received this exclusive Glossybox offer from Ole Henriksen, featuring the friendly looking founder on the postcard.  The one side tells you a little bit about the serum that was provided in the box, while the other side gives you a coupon code to redeem a deluxe size sample of the new Truth Creme Advanced Hydration and free shipping with any purchase of $50 or more.  I'm not sure I am going to use it, because Ole Henricksen is still a bit pricey for my liking, but at least I have it for if and when I want to make a purchase.

Biolage Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment

 

 

I am okay with receiving hair treatments in my boxes because I love trying new products for my dry hair.  I thought this stuff is great, and for only $22.00 for the full size version, I may have to purchase it when I am finished with my sample.  This serum is infused with a Moringa Oil Blend that gives instant shine and replenishes all hair types.  I use it while my hair is damp, and just before styling and I love it! I came home over the weekend from tubing in a lake, and took a quick shower.  I was too tired to style my hair, so I threw some of this in and let it dry, and I woke up with beautiful, soft wavy hair.  Granted, I still don't recommend letting hair air dry because it is unhealthy for some, if not most, hair types, but either way this stuff is amazing!

 

Seriously...is this not the best Glossybox yet?  This is the first time I ever received a beauty box where I  love ALL the products!  I am so happy with this month, and I hope that all other Glossybox subscribers are just as pleased!  I can only hope that every future box is as fantastic as this one!
