Urban Decay BIG Sale Haul

I was so excited when I saw on Twitter than Urban Decay had a big sale!  I know over the past few months, there has been much publicity and controversy regarding the possible manufacturing relocation to China, which would force Urban Decay to test on animals, but after a long and disappointing few months, Urban Decay announced that they will remain cruelty-free.  I could only hope that this big sale gained some of their fans back, as I am sure that loyal fans were very happy with these amazing prices!  

I never really had that many Urban Decay products.  I only had the 24/7 eyeliner before I started beauty blogging.  Once I established Hello Miss Niki, I started to branch out and try more brands. I got my hands on both Naked Palettes and the Smoked Palettes and I couldn't be happier with them.  When I heard that Urban Decay was having this big sale, I figured I would stock up on some more Urban Decay  so I can see what I think about their other products.  Let's jump into my haul, shall we???  Enjoy!!!

Urban Decay Midnight Emergency Palette

This palette was actually an afterthought.  I bought all of the products, and then got an e-mail notification that one of the products was sold out.  Due to the mixup, Urban Decay sent me a $10 off coupon code, so I decided to go back and get one more thing.  This is a pretty cool palette.  I mentioned in my Urban Decay Smoked Palette Review that I never saw a palette with a zipper, but I guess I was wrong...they do exist!!!  

This palette has four gorgeous shimmery eyeshadows that are perfect to create a neutral eye or combine with black or darker colors for a smokey look!  The shadows are very pigmented and go on smoothly, maybe except the purple shade in AC/DC.  This one had a bit of fallout, but I still think the color is gorgeous!  Midnight 15 has to be my favorite shade of the collection.

This palette also came with a very pretty lipgloss.  Like the palette, I love the packaging, and even more...the smell!  It has a minty scent that tingles when you apply it,, as it supposedly plumps your lips.  I wouldn't wear it alone because it is too light for me, as I love to wear darker, more pigmented colors, but I would definitely wear it over some lipstick.  The only thing I don't like is that the consistency is a tad sticky and makes the product feel a bit heavy.  

This palette also came with a travel sized shadow brush, which I probably won't use since I usually use my Sigma brushes.  This is great to keep as a spare though!

Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara

I remember using this mascara in high school, but I don't recall loving it as much as I do now.  I think this mascara is absolutely fantastic!  Big Fatty, Urban Decay's most popular formula, thickens the lashes beautifully.  The packaging design is very psychedelic and I absolutely love the wand!  The wand is big and "fat" but perfect enough and not awkward when it comes to applying.

Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss

Sorry that the photo above has the mascara at the bottom.  I realized I never took the photo of the three lipglosses together.  Okay...so this is a funny product because I don't think the ladies are initially drawn to the lovely shades of the lipgloss.  On top of the product, the applicator, is a handsome man, dressed in his work or lifestyle attire.  Then to my surprise, you tilt it and the man is practically NAKED!!!  Yes...the only makeup product that I have ever owned that actually made me giggle!  I think that the colors are very pretty, and the colors are named after a dude...which is again...hilarious!  Although I think the concept of the gloss is funny and the colors are pretty, can't say I love the gloss itself.  First of all, it is very sticky, and secondly the smell is unbearable.  I can't put my finger on what it smells like, but I honestly can't take it.  Its such a shame because I really think these lip glosses are pretty.

Urban Decay Lipstick

I was extremely excited about these lipsticks because I thought the packaging was AWESOME!!! And although they are quite cool, I must say, I don't think I love it now that its in my hands.  In order to open the lipstick, you have to pull the sword, and honestly, it kind of hurts.  Lipstick should not hurt when you open it!!!  Besides that, I think the lipsticks I are great.  They have a creamy texture and applies very smoothly.  Can't say I love the shade in Oil Slick, but I guess I really should have known better judging by the name that it did feel oily and a tad greasy.
