This is my last blog post for Hair Week. Yes, I know...I didn't post much about hair, but like I said, its not quite my expertise, so there is only so much I can write. Two days ago, I posted all about my favorite hair products. Of course behind great hair products, stand great hair tools! Let me share with you my favorite hair tools and brushes.
This product proves that my husband does listen to me when I babble about beauty products. For my birthday (I forget which one) he got me the CHI Blow Dryer. I never thought I would have one of these because it is quite pricey, but what an investment. I do believe you can get a fantastic blow dryer for much cheaper, but the heat it radiates is absolutely amazing and dries my hair super quick, which is what I need in the morning as I get ready for work! The diffuser is fantastic for achieving bouncy curls and the other piece (not sure what on earth it's called) is great for precise drying and anti-frizzing for when I want straight hair.
I have used CHI Straighteners for years! I got this one for Christmas about 2 years ago. I used to share one with both my mother AND my sister, and I wanted my own for Christmas before I got married, so I wouldn't have to buy one myself. Again, CHI is quite pricy, but this is the BEST straightener! This ceramic iron has such a great reputation and nothing can quite make my hair as straight than this very product. Many salons use CHI straighteners and I can absolutely see why!
CHI Air Texture Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron (1")
I can honestly say that I don't use this product that much, but when I do, I love it. I don't use it often because I don't do wavy hair styles on a daily basis. It take a lot of time to obtain beach waves, but when I use this CHI Curling Iron it makes the process a lot easier. This iron heats up SUPER FAST and although it takes me awhile to curl my hair, with another curling iron it would take me longer. I will have this tool forever!
Something so simple, yet so effective. I use this product 2-3 times during my curly hair ritual. In order to disperse conditioner evenly throughout my hair, I flip my head over and gently brush the product throughout my hair. Before I towel try my hair, I flip my head over again and use my handy dandy pick to remove all the knots. I always need to have my pick!
My sister-in-law, the hair dresser, picked up this brush for me because she uses it on her client's hair. The ceramic barrel on this brush heats up quickly while blow drying to help hair style easier. This brush has Nano Silver Technology (whatever that is) added to the bristles to help hair stay clean and smelling good. I have been using this brush for awhile and I think its really great. It helps keep my hair nice and shiny and because the barrel heats up, it helps my hair to dry quicker.
Oh how I love my Revlon Paddle Brush. I have had this brush for so long and I just love it when I use it. I love Revlon hair products because they really do have decent quality and last awhile. My backup blow dryer is a Revlon and its a great alternative. I really cannot compare this paddle brush to any other paddle brush, so I am going to assume that paddle brushes in general are great. When I start to get too lazy to use my round brush, using this to create volume and waves is fantastic! Revlon or not, I will ALWAYS have a paddle brush!
I think that this may be my new favorite brush. I really do like Spornette brushes, as my Prego Brush is by Spornette. Please read my full review on this brush HERE!
So there you have it! Hair Week has come to an end! It has been fun writing about something different over the past few days, but I am ready to get back to what I know best...makeup! Hope you all enjoyed! Have a fabulous weekend!
What are your favorite hair tools and brushes?
I agree, investing in good tools, especially heat tools is just as important as the products we use on our hair. I have both an ion blow dryer and flat iron and they do really make a difference in comparison to the 'regular' ones. ^^ xx
