Glossybox - July 2012

It usually takes me awhile to finally publish my Glossybox review, but I was finished testing everything rather quickly this time.  I just love getting my box every month!  I literally count down the days once I get my shipment notification.  Soo...what do I think about this month's box?  Lets find out, shall we??

So I guess Glossybox is going to keep sending me these GlossyMags.  I love these!!! As I mentioned in my June review, Glossybox recently started sending these pamphlets along with their boxes.  This magazine consists of beauty trends, tips and some great advice from the experts. I love receiving this little booklet and hope that all Glossybox subscribers are as impressed with it as I am.  

Sebastian Color Ignite Multi Tone Shampoo & Conditioner

I usually don't like getting hair samples in my boxes, but I was intrigued with these samples because they were a decent size and I know Sebastian has a good reputation.  I will admit, the products worked great and did make my hair shiny and last a few days without looking dirty, as I didn't feel the need to keep applying shine product.  However, the conditioner was very interesting.  I had no problem with the shampoo, but the conditioner has a whipped consistency and I literally had to read the bottle a few times because I thought it was shaving cream!  I have never used a conditioner like this before and while dispersing it throughout my hair, I kept feeling like I needed more product because I didn't feel that soft silky texture that conditioner usually leaves.  Like I said, once I styled my hair, it felt great, but the consistency of the product takes getting used to.  

Alessandro International Pedix Heel Rescue Balm

This is a foot cream that is imported from Germany and provides protection to your feet while keeping the skin soft and fresh.  I haven't used a foot cream in awhile.  I usually use the Butter London foot wipes and they seem to do the job.  However, this was great!  I gave myself a pedicure the other day and massaged this into my feet and the cream left them feeling fresh and smooth!

 Senna Cosmetics Double Dose Lip Lacquer

I was so excited when I saw this product!  Finally, a beauty box is giving me cosmetics!!! I was thrilled and couldn't wait to try it out!  Too bad I was disappointed.  The colors in this dual ended lip gloss is great!  One side is a very sheer shimmery pink and the other end is a dark shimmery brown/rose shade.  My only issue is the consistency of the gloss is VERY sticky and I despise sticky!  It is very heavy on the lip and I honestly couldn't stand wearing it.  I hate being so negative, but I just didn't like it at all.  Will I keep it??? ABSOLUTELY!!! I am a makeup hoarder and it is very difficult to pry me away from any product, good or bad!

Ofra Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil

Another product that I saw and was excited about, but didn't meet my expectations.  I am a freak when it comes to grooming my brows.  I just got the Sigma Beauty Expert Brow Design Kit, did a full review and couldn't have been happier, so when I saw this product I was so thrilled to try something new for my brows again.  This product is created with beeswax for long lasting application.  It did last, but the application was not so smooth. I think that the beeswax made it difficult to apply and getting it through my thick hairs to make a clean brow line was quite difficult.  Again, I am not going to get rid of this.  I am going to give it a few more chances because it may be one of those products that get better after several uses.

Caswell-Massey Almond & Aloe Hand & Body Emulsion

I don't love when I get little packets like this because when I open them I always just feel the need to throw them away, whether I like them or not.  However, I may have to keep this one because I really loved it.  I only gave this product a try seconds before writing this blog and I think it's fantastic.  It made my hands extremely smooth, not greasy and the smell is amazing!  Not only is it fresh, but it smells of sweet almonds...and I LOVE almonds!!

So there you have it guys.  I don't know if I was crazy about this box, BUT it's always great to try new things and get these boxes!  I love getting surprises every month!!
