I just want to start off by saying that I feel extremely lucky. Everyday, blogging is getting better and better, and I am so grateful to my loyal readers and followers. Furthermore, I am fortunate enough to the companies who are taking the time to read my blog and appreciating all the good things I have to say about their products. One of my favorite cosmetic companies, NYX Cosmetics, contacted me a few weeks ago, thanking me for my NYX Cosmetics Crimson Amulet Palette Review. The representative I was e-mailing with was kind enough to send me some products to try. I cannot begin to tell you the excitement I felt. I was more than flattered and honored that they took the time to read what I had to say, and I just knew that my blogging was becoming more successful. Trust me when I say I am not conceited, and I am certainly not gloating, I am just thankful to everyone who is supporting me and my blog. It really means a lot.
Because I am grateful to NYX Cosmetics for being kind enough to send me some products, I wanted to share with you what I got and what I thought about them all. Just because they sent it to me, again (and I have mentioned this in my other blog posts) I am completely honest with what I think about all the products I review (Please see my disclaimer).
NYX Butt Naked Eyes Makeup Palette
The first product that I want to discuss is the Butt Naked Palette. I almost fell off my chair when I saw this, as I have been wanting to try but sort of forgot about it. This palette is right up my alley! I try and use funky colors and experiment with different shades, but I always go back to what I am used to in the end, and this product has what I love. This palette has 15 neutral matte and shimmery eye shadows, 4 rosy blushes, 2 cheek illuminators and 1 defining bronzer. Bottom line, I'm obsessed with it; and the best part...the shades are a perfect fit for all skin tones.
The next product that I have is the NYX Matte Bronzer in Medium. I think this bronzer is fantastic, as its staying power is just right. However, the color that they sent me is a bit too dark for me. It is not their fault, they didn't know my skin tone, so I am going to assume that a lighter shade would have worked better on me. I still like it and think it would be perfect for the summer when and IF I happen to get a tan (which is a rare occurrence).
I also got the NYX Illuminating Face and Body Bronzer in Magnetic. This was the perfect shade for my skin tone. It is a shimmery peachy shade...reminds me a little bit of NARS Orgasm, but lighter. Perhaps the other colors can be classified as a bronzer, but I don't see this as one. I would compare it to more of a blush.
I have a new favorite liquid eyeliner!!! My favorite one to begin with was from NYX, but now I have moved onto the Liquid Black Eyeliner from Collection Noir. I have mentioned that I become a total spaz when it comes to applying liquid liner. Just when I thought I have mastered it, I screw up and start from square one...its so frustrating!!! The applicator with this product is wonderful as it is extremely precise and goes on very smooth.
NYX Matte Black Liner from Collection Noir
Wow...something seriously up with my camera.
Sorry that its so unclear!!!
They also sent me the NYX Matte Black Liner from Collection Noir. Here is where you know I am being honest...I didn't love this product. I am a huge fan of Urban Decays 24/7 Liner in Perversion, so I always compare my liners to this products. This one didn't add up. It was not a very pigmented color and not as dark as I would have liked. It went on smooth, but in the end, I had trouble getting the desired dramatic eye I was looking for. Below is a photo of the darkness I am used to with my everyday eyeliner.

The Le Chick Flick Mascara is my first mascara from NYX. I was so excited to try this and then I saw that it was waterproof. I am honestly not a fan of waterproof mascara...for some reason it doesn't go on as smooth as the regular mascara I typically use. This product worked nicely, but its not a product I would use everyday. I always try different mascaras and end up going back to my Loreal Voluminous and Loreal Carbon Black. However, Its nice to have for when I do a wedding! Always have to use waterproof for them criers :)
Double whammy!!! Two Xtreme Lip Creams, one in Buttery Nude, the other in Pinky Nude!!! When I first saw this product in stores, I put off buying it for awhile and then finally I gave in. This is a very unique product. Its not a lipstick, nor a gloss and the application is unlike another lip product I have ever tried. I decided to only stick with one (I wasn't a fan of all the other colors). After I tried the ones that NYX sent me, I realized that I need to try things anyway because I love these! Because they are so different from most lip products, I am completely intrigued by them and love the colors.
Finally, they sent me another Crimson Amulette Palette. You all know I enjoyed the one that I bought myself (check out my full review here), as this is where this NYX review stemmed from. I decided to give this palette to my lovely younger sister...a fellow NYX fan. I benefit from her photography skills, as she benefits from my occasional complimentary doubles!
So that's that!!! Again, thank you to NYX Cosmetics for reaching out and giving me the opportunity to spread the goodness of NYX to my readers!!!
Love this little lace NYX Bag!!!
