Drugstore Discovery....Wet n' Wild ColorIcon Eyeshadow Collection

I can literally spend more time in the cosmetic section of the drugstore than Sephora or any other high end cosmetic retail chain.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love high end make up, but like most, I am on a budget, and Drugstore Discoveries is my forte!

I am not sure how long this collection has been out for, but I have discovered Wet n' Wild ColorIcon Eyeshadow Collections.  This product line comes in single shadows and trios, but I just LOVE the full collections of 8 perfectly coordinated shadows with high pigmentation. With all of these colors in one, you can come up with dozens of looks!  The best part.... its ONLY $5.00!!!!!  How can anyone go wrong????

I discovered this eyeshadow while watching a tutorial by one of my favorite make-up gurus Miss Chievous.  She went on an Ulta haul and did a tutorial with this collection in Petal Pusher and created a beautiful purple smokey eye.  As usual, when I love a new look (especially one used with drugstore products) I go out and buy the products.  Well...I bought the one palette, and eventually I ended up with all three.  Fifteen dollars and fourteen eyeshadows later, I AM IN LOVE with this collection!

As I mentioned, each palette contains 8 eyeshadows and they are all labeled (on the shadow itself) with where the color would compliment the browbone, eyelid, crease, and what can define the eye to enhance the look.  On the back of the packaging, is a diagram that would give you a Sweet Look, Flirty Look, Dramatic Look and Wild Look.  This is very helpful for those who are just starting off with make-up.

The palette in Comfort Zone (738) is exactly how it sounds.  It contains lovely warm colors colors that can create a nice neutral/comfortable look.  My favorite colors in the palette is the light green color and the color at the bottom right.  I honestly don't even know how to explain this color.  Its a bronze shade with an emerald reflection and it is just so unique!

The palette in Petal Pusher (736) was the first palette that I bought and its gorgeous.  The colors in the  collection are colors that I have seen before, but again, all beautiful.  A few weeks ago, I did a review on the new Shop Mac Collection from Mac Cosmetics and bought the 4x palette in Shop & Drop.  The Petal Pusher palette is a great alternative to the Mac palette.  The colors are similar and you save $35!

My favorite palette of this collection is the Blue Had Me At Hello shadows.  While I don't wear these colors very often, the colors in here are so bright and fun!  The silver in the collection is extremely pigmented and the turquoise is so beautiful and bright!

So thats all I have to say about this collection.  Again, for $5, you can't go wrong! The colors are very bright and fun and isn't that turquoise above beautiful??? You can buy these palettes at your local drug store or beauty supply store.  Check them out!
